IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph “Orlebar Brown” — IW390704

Nautical by design, unmistakably Portugieser.

Created in collaboration with British resort-wear label Orlebar Brown, the IW390704 takes IWC’s classic Portugieser proportions and gives them a much sportier, more colorful personality.

The 44.6mm stainless-steel case frames a deep navy-blue dial accented by a bright red central chronograph hand and a contrasting white small-seconds display at 6 o’clock. At 12 o’clock, IWC combines the chronograph hours and minutes into a single totalizer, keeping an otherwise complicated watch surprisingly clean and balanced. IWC Schaffhausen

One of the coolest details is the navy rubber strap with its woven textile inlay, designed to resemble nautical rope. The collaboration even extends to the hardware, with a co-branded buckle inspired by the side adjusters found on Orlebar Brown swimwear. Hodinkee

Inside sits IWC’s manufacture Calibre 89361, an automatic flyback chronograph movement with a 68-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback, adding another layer to a watch that's equally focused on engineering and design. IWC Schaffhausen
